The client is invited to attend the beginning of the building work phase to confirm that the house lay-out is as he wishes.
The building site is declared open by means of a standard form signed by the client (the DOC, Déclaration d’Ouverture de Chantier, a statement that you are about to begin work on the site), which will be sent to the local town hall by registered post, after the foundations have been laid.
The client is kept informed of the progress of building work on a weekly basis. He is invited to meetings at every stage of the project that triggers a payment instalment to the contractor.
